Becoming a Leader in Network Marketing
There has been a lot of talk about becoming a leader in Network Marketing lately. And it doesn’t mean you have to be a 20 year veteran. But this sentiment can cause some confusion.
How do you become a leader in Network Marketing if you just joined your first opportunity, or you switched from your last failed attempt to build a profitable Network Marketing business? How do you come across as a confident seasoned Networker if you never sponsored one person into your business? How can you persuade prospects who are looking for someone to take their hand and walk them through their learning curve, that you are their best choice?
Ever pondered the answers to those questions? If you are just starting and are trying to make a name for yourself, than I know they crossed your mind.
They crossed my mind for sure, and it took more than 7 months of learning and applying my new knowledge to get to the position where I can say that I know more than people who are just looking for an opportunity.
So what separates leaders from newbies?
Any seasoned leader will tell you that: “anything you learned is more than what newbies know”. Even if you only know how to find the information that is needed for a project you are undertaking. And that is great news!
There are 3 things you must do in Network Marketing to position yourself as a leader:
- Never stop learning: new strategies, tools and resources in your area of expertise. And don’t forget to apply them to your business!
- Continue to develop your personal skills and build relationships with others in your niche.
- Continue to build your business even if you don’t see results for awhile. This is the only way to finish what you started
Firstly, learning new strategies and tools as well as finding new resources for your own business is essential to business growth. Personally, I have been learning Online Network Marketing for awhile now and I have to say that the process of learning is great. But the process of applying what you learned is better! In fact the process of applying your knowledge to grow your business is what makes you a leader! It fuels you in a way that makes you stand out and it gives you confidence that every leader projects.
Secondly, Personal development is key to being a leader, not just because it teaches you how to carry yourself as a leader, but because it teaches you how to be teachable. You must humble yourself in order to relate to others who are in a situation you were in before you became a leader. It makes you human and people are more likely to follow your lead!
Finally, in order for your business to continue to grow you must do what you teach and ask others to do. In order to have others look up to you as a leader, you need to show that even though you have created a great deal of success, you still apply the same principles to your business that you recommend them to apply. There has to be a connection between you and your business associates that makes them relate to you on one level, but makes them want to be where you are or reach beyond, on another level.
Becoming a leader in Network Marketing doesn’t mean making millions of dollars, because you were able to create a huge team and retire at 29!
It means that you were able to learn how to build a profitable Network Marketing business through trials and errors and now know how to use the resources in your own business. It means that you are able to teach your team how to replicate your success. And it means that success takes some time and learning and is possible and reachable, but only if you keep doing what you teach others to do.
To Your Success!

P.S. Eliminate the fear of inferiority and accept that everybody has been where you are at one point of their business career. But don’t forget to look back, because there are others following in your footsteps too.
